Welcome to runaway-to-spain.com

Wouldn't you like to run away?

Had one of those days?

Are the skies grey again?

Feel like doing one outta here?

Yes, that is how I felt......

Welcome to runaway-to-spain.com

Our aim is to give you all the information you need for your visit to Spain or to make a new life there.

A popular question we get asked is "What is living in Spain really like?"

Our answer to you is "it is not an extended version of your two week holiday, it is challenging to live in a foreign climate, but if you have done your homework then your chances of success are greatly increased."

On this site you will find many aspects of Life in Spain. This site can only be of benefit to you if it is current and constamtly updated and we put ourselves under pressure to keep it current so you can always get the most up to date information to help you in your move.

Areas most popular with expatriates

The areas most favoured by the British are the Costa del Sol, the Costa Blanca, the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands. On the Costa de Almeria the resort of Mojacar Playa is popular, on the Costa Brava there is a significant British presence to the north of Blanes, and on the Costa Tropical in the resorts of Herradura and Almunecar. There are very few British residents or property owners on the Costa Dorada, the Costa del Azahar, the Costa de la Luz and the North Atlantic coast.
